Artful Chefs Junior Chef Summer Camp offers hands-on cooking with a real chef in a home kitchen environment, including Junior Chef Summer Camp sessions that focus on classical French culinary techniques and gourmet cooking skills. Students practice knife cuts such as julienne, battonet, and allumette and take part in themed classes like International Week Jr. Chef Classes, Italian Week Jr. Chef Classes, and Advanced Culinary Skills Week Camp. Advanced Culinary Skills Week Camp includes cast iron searing, precise sous vide cooking, crafting glossy reduction sauces, advanced egg cookery (poaching, hollandaise, sous vide eggs), smooth emulsions using immersion blenders, and expert garnishing and plating. Classes are intentionally kept very small, with attendance limited to eight students per week, and students work in a small group of eight. Lunch is included, and students receive downloadable recipes to keep.
