About
Nike Contact Football Camp at San Diego State University includes daily training to develop speed, strength and agility, along with position-focused work such as offense and defensive linemen reps. Campers take part in contact drills, tackling drills, scrimmages, and a scrimmage on Thursday morning, with the camp gradually introducing the contact element through controlled, safe drills and full contact competition. The program also includes discussions on proper technique and concussion safety, learning to tackle safely, and learning to play contact football, as well as dorm living, nighttime bowling, and a movie and game night.

• Price: Full Day 4-day camp $839 (Includes all fees); Overnight 4-day camp $1,239 (Includes all fees)
The camp is led by Camp Director Jonas Jackson, who serves as Defensive Line Coach for the Panthers football program and has held coaching roles at Delaware State, NCAA Div. III Albany State (Ga.), Your Call Football, Savannah State (Ga.), West Virginia Wesleyan, Elancourt Templiers of the European Pro League, Illinois State, La Salle, Temple, and Arizona Western. Campers receive professional instruction from Coach Jackson and staff, with grouping by age, weight, and ability and low camper to coach ratios. Parent feedback notes activities such as the Thursday morning scrimmage, full contact competition, tackling drills, dorm living, instruction from coaches, and the friendliness and enthusiasm of coaches and staff. There is no rental equipment available, and each camper needs to bring their own equipment.
