About
The Watersports Camp offers activities including wakeboarding, wakesurfing, surfing, bodyboarding, sailing, stand up paddling, kayaking, STEM activities, inflatable day, beach day, land pop ups, and a bay paddle in San Juan Cove. Campers also take part in a swim assessment as part of the program. Camps run in week-long full-day and half-day sessions from Monday through Friday.

The Watersports Camp offers several week-long full-day and half-day camps to choose from, with optional late supervision available as an add-on. PM wakeboarding, kneeboarding and tubing or PM wakesurfing camps require drop off and pick up at East Vacation Island, and the Nautique Wakeboarding Development Camp requires drop off at Mission Bay Aquatic Center in the morning and pick up at East Vacation Island in the afternoon. In the Nautique Wakeboarding and Wakesurfing Development Camp, campers use a Nautique GS20 with a Nautique Surf System, and only 5 spots are available each week. In Wakeboarding/Multisport, campers track their progress with personal progression cards, and there are age-based junior versions of wakeboarding and surfing camps.
The Watersports Camp states that its focus is on creating high-quality camp experiences for campers ages 6–17 in a safe, fun, and enriching environment. The Watersports Camp is operated by Associated Students of San Diego State University and University of California San Diego Recreation and is sponsored by the YMCA of San Diego County.
