San Diego Ice Arena offers public ice skating, figure skating, hockey, and learn to skate activities. The program includes figure skating lessons, ice hockey lessons, hockey leagues, and ice skating birthday parties, as well as parties during public skating sessions.

Since 2000, the Linssen brothers have created a vibrant community around San Diego Ice Arena, and the arena is described as “A Fun 'n' Learn Facility.” The San Diego Ice Arena is owned by the Linssen family, with Philip Linssen serving as CEO of SDIA Inc. and Mark Linssen serving as COO of SDIA Inc. The arena’s mission statement is “To WOW our customers with a remarkable experience when visiting San Diego Ice Arena,” and it is home of the award winning “Ice Skating Birthday Parties.” The facility includes a Pro Shop with skating equipment and a party room, and projects like a water reclamation system and solar panels have kept the facility ecologically responsible. Programs like Special Skaters and community fundraisers have kept San Diego Ice Arena socially responsible. Each year since 1997, SDIA Inc. has teamed with Sentre Partners to run a temporary rink in downtown San Diego called “Fantasy on Ice,” where all proceeds go to Rady Children’s Hospital.
