Eureka Valley Arts was created by Ross Katherine Kane, who studied Fine Arts, Ceramics, Interior Design, and Early Childcare. The program’s mission states that it aims to provide an artistic safe haven for nearby kids where kids and staff feel seen, heard, respected, and safe. The mission also states support for people of all faiths, gender identity, sexuality, race, disability, and personal identity, and says that every person deserves to be treated with respect. The program’s mission describes a focus on kids growing into their individuality, having a strong sense of self, and using art and STEM as outlets for exploring feelings and learning growth. The mission also states a goal for staff to be invested in their own professional development aimed toward education and social emotional learning. The program describes that creating Eureka Valley Arts for children to make art, explore, have fun, feel safe, and be part of the community has made this the best job ever for its creator.
