About
Join us in the art studio for our Art Studio I & II classes for children ages 3-6 years old.
SFCAC’s Art Studio classes provide younger children with open-ended, process-oriented art experiences. 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art activities will focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, and reflective dialogue between peers and our teaching artists. Classes include a combination of self-directed "choice" time and guided group artmaking activities.
- Art Studio I (90 minutes) is for preschoolers ages 3-5 years (students must turn 3 years old before the first class session)
- Art Studio II (2 hours) for students ages 4-6 who are currently in a Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten class at school.
Register for the full session, or opt for a single-day drop-ins (subject to availability). Families who wish to try out a class before signing up for the full session are encouraged to purchase a single-day drop-in for the first class session and we will credit your drop in fees towards a full session enrollment if you decide to sign up for the remainder of classes.
SFCAC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and fostering their sense of self through creative exploration. Our classes and camps offer a process-oriented approach to art making focused on experiential learning and honoring children’s creative choices. Our small class sizes ensure each child feels seen and celebrated. Our activities are designed to spark the imagination, build critical thinking skills, and enhance creative self-expression. Through our focus on interactive participation and open dialogue, we support young artists as they build social and emotional skills and make meaningful connections with their peers.
