Eureka Valley Arts states that it aims to provide an artistic safe haven for kids, where kids and staff feel seen, heard, respected, and safe. The program states that it supports people of all faiths, gender identity, sexuality, race, disability, and personal identity, and that every person deserves to be treated with respect. The mission includes wanting kids to grow into their individuality and have a strong sense of self, using art and STEM as outlets for exploring feelings and learning growth. The program also states that it wants staff to be invested in their own professional development focused on education and social emotional learning.

Eureka Valley Arts was created for children to make art, explore, have fun, feel safe, and be part of a community. The organization is connected with Castro Clay, which is described as a full ceramic studio with adult and children’s classes. The program highlights an artistic safe haven for kids, support for many kinds of personal identities, a focus on staff professional development, and a community nurtured through the arts.

The leadership team includes Ross Katherine Kane, the creator of E.V.A. for children, and Maddie Walker, the Assistant Director of EVA. Staff credentials include backgrounds in fine arts, ceramics, interior design, early childcare, childhood education, archaeology, anthropology, art history, museum management, and curatorial studies, as well as extensive experience working with children in classrooms, after-school programs, and recreation settings. A testimonial from Assistant Director Maddie Walker states, “Working with EVA for over 3 years has been an absolute blast. I've loved guiding our kids in their creative journey and watching them grow.”
