Exploring Music offers Yamaha group music lessons, a Yamaha music group program, and other group music lessons for children starting from age 3. The program also offers private music lessons, including piano, guitar, violin, flute, ukulele, and voice lessons, as well as music lessons for kids and adults.

Exploring Music was founded in 2002 and originally offered traditional Chinese musical instruments and instruction exclusively, and it is now described as one of the Bay Area’s premier independent musical instrument retailers and lesson providers. Since 2015, Exploring Music has been a licensed Yamaha Music Education Center, and the Yamaha Method used there focuses on ear training and the development of a child’s own musical creativity and expression.
