Steppin' Out Dance Studio

Steppin' Out Dance Studio offers a variety of dance activities including Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Tumbling, Contemporary, Creative Movement, danceABILITY, and Hip Hop. The program is designed to provide young dancers with a diverse mix of classes in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Founded in 1995, Steppin' Out Dance Studio evolved from the historic Betty May Dance Studios, which had been serving the community since the 1930s. Angela Rose Dorantes, the owner and director, has extensive training in tap, ballet, jazz, and tumbling, and has been recognized with the S.O.T.A. Dance Achievement Award in 1993. The studio has also achieved 3rd place in the 2001 National Dance competition. Angela has a history of community involvement, having served the children of the Mission District and performed with several Bay Area dance troupes.
