Vida Verde Nature Education Overnight Environmental Education Program is a 3-day overnight program for students ages 9-12 during the school year. The basic schedule includes Forest Day on Day 1, Goats/Farm/Coast on Day 2, and Camper Choice Day on Day 3. The school leaves by 8:30 a.m. on Day 1, and the bus returns to pick up participants on Day 3 at 1:30 p.m.

About the provider
The program is offered to schools. Schools must provide transportation to and from Vida Verde, two to three adult chaperones, and a small batch of groceries. During the trip, Vida Verde travels to locations in 15 passenger vans. Eligible schools have 85% or more of students receiving free or reduced price lunches, and students do not otherwise have an overnight environmental education opportunity in grades 4-6. Family and guardian presentations are available upon request, and contact is needed at least a month in advance for a presentation.
