About
Almaden Parents Pre-School (APPS) offers play-based learning in a parent participation preschool setting. Parents and teachers together create a positive, safe, and fun environment for children through play-based learning. APPS is a Positive Discipline Lab School where teachers guide the learning process in a creative and safe environment, and parents help manage the classroom while learning educational methods and the principles of Positive Discipline. Families participate in a supportive community of parents, teachers, and preschoolers working together to learn and teach social and academic skills.

Parents also report that teachers make every day of learning fun and that parents receive Positive Discipline coaching as part of being at APPS. One parent states that their child is happy and excited to come to school and that they appreciate knowing everyone who is working with their child in a family community.
