Cultivate Kitchen Cooking Classes and Camps

Cultivate Kitchen Cooking Classes and Camps offers hands on cooking classes, kids classes, and kids camps that include activities such as molten lava cake challenges and deep dive classes on Japanese, Mexican, Vegan, and Gluten Free cuisine. The program also offers date night classes and uses a cooking-focused, team building format for groups.

Savory Kitchen, now called Cultivate Kitchen, was started in early 2012 by Colleen Mahoney, who also opened Whirlygig on The Alameda in San Jose. Colleen Mahoney has a cooking background and is a Sommelier who was in the wine industry. Cultivate Kitchen hosts private events, team buildings, corporate events, birthday parties, client events, and weddings, and can provide the entire space for a group with no concern about what is discussed or who overhears. The program pairs food with local wines and offers seasonal package options. Testimonials from participants describe hands-on competitions, molten lava cake and other dessert challenges, wine pairing, attention to dietary restrictions and preferences, and staff who plan menus, lead cooking challenges, and guide groups through cooking and meals.
