CuperDoodle Preschool

CuperDoodle Preschool is a child-centered, play-based program that focuses on the academic, social-emotional, and physical growth and development of each child. The program supports children’s cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development through a play-based environment that is rich in exploration and hands-on learning. Learning standards and curriculum prepare children for kindergarten and beyond, and parents are valued as partners in education and work together to support the child. CuperDoodle originated with English and Mandarin-bilingual preschool classes and continues to offer both English and Mandarin-bilingual classes.

CuperDoodle Preschool is part of Cupertino Union School District’s CuperDoodle Preschool Program and is built upon a parent and district partnership. Highly qualified teachers, administrators, and support staff provide a caring, comprehensive early childhood education program in support of all children. The program’s mission is to provide quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood education services to children in a warm, supportive environment. CuperDoodle provides a nurturing, supportive, and safe atmosphere which serves as a bridge between home and school experiences. The program originated in 2018 at the John Muir Elementary School campus in San Jose and relocated to the Meyerholz campus in August 2023, when the Meyerholz campus opened. The leadership team includes Director Michelle Herriage, Ed.D. The board has voted to close CuperDoodle Preschool effective June 30, 2026, and the last day of school will be June 5, 2026. CuperDoodle will not be accepting any registrations for summer 2026 and the 2026–2027 school year.
