About
Dance Arts Academy offers instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, Hawaiian, hip hop, cheerleading, and gymnastics. Participants are grouped according to age and ability. Families are asked to send a snack or lunch and a water bottle with each participant.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Multiple 4- or 5-day sessions, generally running Monday–Thursday or Monday–Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
Dance Arts Academy was founded in 1969 and has taught students in the Bay Area for over 56 years. The staff is described as professional and dedicated to making each dancer’s experience a positive and knowledgeable one, with a focus on building self-esteem and confidence. The program teaches a strong foundation of dance technique in a well-structured, positive, and fun learning environment. Dance Arts Academy has won over 6,000 national championship awards, including top studio in Las Vegas, and many students have gone on to professional careers in dance. Camps are held in partnership with multiple San Jose community centers.
