Grupo Folklorico Los Laureles offers dance classes that bring the artistic creations of Mexico to life. The program includes academy classes, in-school programs, teacher training, small and large private performances, school workshops, and school assemblies. With over 25 classes, their dance classes represent Mexico in the United States and welcome students from as young as 2 years old.

Founded in the summer of 2007 under the leadership of Executive Director Ashley Lopez, Grupo Folklorico Los Laureles has expanded its offerings over the past 17 years to include more than 25 classes. By 2024, it has distinguished itself as the only private Folklorico academy in San Jose and is composed of students, families, and maestros who share a passion for Folklorico. Each year, Los Laureles produces two formal recitals that showcase Bay Area talent and appreciation for Mexican culture. The organization has performed for groups across the United States and is available for small and large private performances as well as school workshops and assemblies. Laureles states that its mission is to educate, conserve, and promote Mexican traditions through dance, fostering a love for this culture in every student they teach.
