Maloney’s Martial Arts

Maloney’s Martial Arts offers children’s martial arts classes that include Kenpo and American Karate. Classes include practical and effective physical self-defense techniques, as well as mental and emotional self-defense techniques and functional fitness training.

• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday during daytime and evening hours

Maloney’s Martial Arts is led by Jerry Maloney, who started karate classes in 1976, began managing the school in 1985, took over the school in 1995, and changed the name to Maloney’s Martial Arts in 2016. The program’s mission is to teach practical and effective physical, mental, and emotional self-defense techniques and functional fitness training with valuable life skills, in a family atmosphere where instructors focus on avoiding the use of physical self-defense and using it only when absolutely necessary. Unique features include no contracts, no enrollment fees, no cancellation fees, no testing fees, complimentary make-up lessons, and priority reservations for day camps and special events. The program focuses on helping young students develop and maintain a strong work ethic, self-control, and discipline, with principles such as Preventive Defense, Awareness, Looking for the Good in all People and in all Situations, Understanding Self-Control, and Always Creating Peace and Harmony, and emphasizes excellence in form, detail, teamwork, harmony, energy, knowledge, ability, effort, respect, control, and peace. Maloney’s Martial Arts was awarded the 2023 “Best Martial Arts” in Silicon Valley.
