North Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL) offers recreational soccer, competitive soccer, and select soccer. The league includes both recreational and competitive soccer under North Valley Youth Soccer League and North Valley United Club.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
The purpose of this league is to promote mental and physical fitness, to develop self and community pride, to teach sportsmanship, and to provide all levels of organized soccer to youth within the league. The recreational league boundaries and home and practice fields include the north and east foothill neighborhoods of San Jose. North Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL) provides recreational soccer for children living in North San Jose, Milpitas, Alviso, and East Foothill Neighborhoods. North Valley United provides competitive soccer for teams comprised of children living anywhere in the California Bay Area. Competitive and select soccer is played under North Valley United Club with teams comprised of players from all over the Bay Area. The purpose of Under 6 and Under 8 recreational soccer divisions is to build self esteem and teach basic soccer techniques in a non-competitive environment as set forth by the league board, and Under 10 and above offer more competitive recreational same gender team play. North Valley Youth Soccer holds recreation league sign ups and competitive league try outs throughout the year. New players need to order uniforms, and existing players only need to order if uniforms do not fit. The NVYSL Swag Shop offers shirts, hats, water bottles, scarves, and more, and every piece of NVYSL swag worn shows pride and supports the team. NVYSL can be followed on Facebook and Instagram.
