San Jose Academy of Music

San Jose Academy of Music offers The San Jose Children’s Choir, private lessons in drums, piano, violin, saxophone, flute, guitar, ukulele, and singing, partner lessons, Music Theory and History, Ultimate Music Club, and private and group lessons. It also offers Certificate of Merit and Royal Conservatory of Music annual exam preparation, Special Needs Lessons for children with autism and other special needs requirements, and students may enroll year-round on a month-to-month basis.

About the provider

San Jose Academy of Music says its vision is to promote the well-being of its community by providing quality, musical experiences, and its mission is to enhance a student’s God-given abilities as they strive for excellence in crafting their musical skill. It is an RCM founding school and offers preparation for Royal Conservatory of Music certification and Music Teachers’ Association of California Certificate of Merit exams upon request. The program encourages students to take part in the 2 to 4 recitals held each year, and it notes that many students have showcased their talents at Carnegie Hall and that several alumni have pursued advanced musical studies at top music conservatories.

There are no yearly or semester contracts. Tuition is a monthly-flat-fee-structure during the Academic Term from August to June. Summer Term is June to August with an a la Carte tuition schedule. A one-time registration fee of $60 per student is required upon enrollment. Private lessons are available for all levels and ages. Lessons are offered to children with autism and other special needs requirements.
