Cal Poly EPaCE Tech Bootcamps offer immersive, live online instruction powered by Fullstack Academy. The programs include beginner-friendly coding and cybersecurity bootcamps that are designed for professionals with no previous experience in the discipline. Students must provide their own computer that meets the minimum tech specifications of their chosen program, along with a webcam and microphone for live-online classes.

Cal Poly EPaCE Tech Bootcamps are powered by Fullstack Academy in partnership with Cal Poly Extended, Professional and Continuing Education. The Extended, Professional and Continuing Education (EPaCE) Tech Bootcamps, in partnership with Fullstack Academy, are neither taught by Cal Poly faculty nor affiliated with Cal Poly’s Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering. Cal Poly employs a “Learn by Doing” philosophy, and the mission statement for Cal Poly EPaCE is that learning is seen as an active pursuit, not a passive one. Fullstack Academy has been a tech bootcamp leader since 2012 and is described as one of the longest-running and most reputable bootcamp providers in the nation, with years of experience in the tech bootcamp industry and impressive student outcomes. Cal Poly is consistently ranked among the top universities in the West, and Fullstack Academy is described as a top-ranked immersive school for tech training.

The bootcamps feature 1-on-1 career coaching and a dedicated career services team for graduates. Programs are described as beginner-friendly and are designed for professionals with no previous experience in the discipline, and they require general computer literacy skills such as efficiently using the internet or cloud tools and Windows. The Cal Poly EPaCE Coding Bootcamp describes a path from beginner to web developer in 13–22 weeks, and the Cal Poly EPaCE Cyber Bootcamp describes a path from beginner to industry-ready in 13–21 weeks. Graduates become members of the Cal Poly–Fullstack community, a supportive alumni network, and there is a hiring partner program with no cost to become a hiring partner. Fullstack Academy bootcamp graduates have gone on to work for companies like Google, Facebook, and Amazon, and more than 1,500 companies hire Fullstack Academy graduates. Fullstack Academy reports 13,000+ successful alumni and a 4.8/5 student rating on Course Report. Program information notes that there are projected to be 3.8 million tech job openings by 2032 (bls.gov). To be eligible, participants must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate or GED holder by the start date, and they do not need to be current students or alumni of Cal Poly EPaCE to apply.
