• Ages: 10–18 years old
805 Elite Volleyball Club was established in 2010 by Club Director and Cal Poly Women’s Volleyball Head Coach, Caroline Walters. The mission of 805 Elite is to help young volleyball athletes reach their highest potential on and off of the court and to serve the youth on the Central Coast by developing skillful volleyball players who know and love the game and support each other on and off the court. The club offers non-travel sessions for athletes interested in making a middle school or high school team or competing on a travel team in the future, a Semi-Travel program for those who cannot commit to a full travel team schedule, and travel teams from ages 12 to 18 for athletes focused on competing at the highest level. It also offers a variety of skill-focused training sessions throughout the year for all experience levels and ages.
The coaching staff includes NCAA and top high school coaches, as well as current and former Division I players. Since its inception, 805 Elite has become one of the most highly recognized clubs in California and beyond and has dominated the Central Coast high school volleyball scene with numerous County Players of the Year, League MVPs, and League First Team honorees, and many 805 Elite alumni have moved on to play at the collegiate level. The club describes its approach as “Culture First. Elite Results.” and focuses on developing the most competitive teams in SLO County from skill sessions to travel teams. The program states that it is committed to serving the youth on the Central Coast.
Parent testimonials describe that “805 is not only developing strong competitors, they are also developing good people,” that it is “a learning environment that has enriched her both in skill and given her a positive mental attitude,” that “at every practice and every tournament new lessons are taught and learned, not only about the game, but life as well,” and that “the coaches are all top notch, supportive, and amazing.”
