CORE Dance Camps and Classes

CORE Dance Camps and Classes offers Tiny Dancer for ages 2-6, with creative movement and ballet-based classes. It also offers Beginning Series for ages 4-10, Month to Month Classes for ages 4-adult, CORE Performance Company, and CORE Dance Company for ages 9+.

Programs

• Tiny Dancer — ages 2-6 · 5-10 weeks in length; creative movement and ballet based; themed series come with a costume and end with a performance.
• Beginning Series — ages 4-10 · 5-10 weeks in length; allows children to try dance, or a new style, before committing to a month-to-month class.
• Month to Month Classes — ages 4-adult · Wide variety of class options for dancers who want to work on their skills continuously; multiple performance opportunities throughout the year, including annual recital Encore in June.
• CORE Performance Company — For dancers interested in more local performance opportunities; performance groups include CORE Babies, CORE Minis or Pre-Company; dancers perform locally and can attend 1 dance convention/year.
• CORE Dance Company — ages 9+ · Audition program for dancers; attendees between 2-4 dance competitions & conventions per year depending on age and commitment level, along with several local performances.
• K-Pop World Tour — Elementary Grades 1-5 · July 6-10 from 9am-3pm · $350–$380 · Summer camp inspired by K-Pop, hip hop, and jazz dance.
• Dance PAW-ty With My Pet — Preschool/Kindergarten aged children · July 13-17 from 9am-Noon · $200–$230 · Tap, ballet and creative movement dance camp; children bring a favorite stuffed pet.
• DJ Dino's Hip-Hop Stomp — Preschool/Kindergarten aged children · July 20-24 from 9am-Noon · $200–$230 · Hip hop dino camp with crafts and dino games.
• Pink Bubbles & Emerald Energy — Elementary Grades 1-5 · July 27-31 from 9am-3pm · $350–$380 · Jazz and hip hop camp with a musical theater twist; inspired by Wicked.

About the provider

CORE Dance Camps and Classes was founded in August 2010 by Leslie Baumberger, Stacy Millard, Rose Patti, and Zheila Pouraghabagher. In 2018, Alexa Von Der Hoff took over as Studio Owner, and Isabella Lund took over as Studio Owner in January 2026 and is Company Director. The program was voted Best Of SLO for 15 years in a row, and its mission is to inspire the community to dance.
