About the provider

The mission of the San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum is to inspire learning through play. The museum says it supports the fundraising efforts of its community and other child-centered organizations, partners with the City of SLO and CAPSLO to provide free admission passes to housing insecure neighbors, and offers Sensory Night for neurodivergent children and their families. It was voted BEST OF THE CENTRAL COAST 2026, with Gold in Family Attraction and Bronze in Museums, and USA Today described it as a "vibrant, interactive gem for families with young children."

Museum policies state food and drink are limited to the outdoor patio except water, service animals are welcome, adults are not permitted to visit without children, there is a 1 adult to maximum 5 children requirement, strollers may be parked in the back play space, and the museum is located across from the Cultural Arts District Parking Structure at 1010 Nipomo Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.
