Sheriff's Youth Summer Camp is a national gang and violence prevention program built around school-based, law enforcement officer-instructed classroom curricula. A large component of the program is the week-long Sheriff's Youth Summer Camps held during the summer, which use the G.R.E.A.T. curriculum designed to prevent delinquency, youth violence, and gang membership for children. The program focuses on preventing bullying, respecting others, making good life choices, conflict resolution, and anger recognition and management.
