About
Spirit of Morgan Hill Girls Softball offers Summer Rec Teams and Summer Comp Teams that include interleague games and at least two tournaments, with the possibility of additional tournaments depending on team decisions. Players take part in specific skills training in hitting, defense, pitching, and catching, and can join activities such as the Home Run Derby, 8U and 10U All-Star Games, and an All-Star Opening Ceremony. Players interested in 8U and 10U Comp Teams attend evaluations, including 10U Comp Team Evaluations and 8U Comp Team Evaluations.
• Schedule: The season runs approximately 2 months, with Summer League registration for 8U and 10U divisions open from 4/3/2026 to 4/30/2026, All-Star Games and Opening Ceremony on 5/1/2026, a Home Run Derby on Saturday, 5/2/2026 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., and 10U and 8U Comp Team Evaluations on 5/3/2026 at 9:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. respectively.
Everyone who participates in the Home Run Derby receives a prize, with additional prizes for the farthest hit ball in each division, hit-the-target prizes, and items such as gift cards and Spirit swag. All Summer league players are required to provide a birth certificate before any tournament participation, and once teams are formed and submitted to NorCalUSA Softball, parents receive information on how to upload their child’s birth certificate to the USA Softball site. Spirit of Morgan Hill Girls Softball states that its mission is to introduce, establish, teach, and promote fast pitch softball to girls in the South County by creating a safe, fun, and positive environment so girls can enjoy the game while enhancing their self-esteem and self-confidence. The program participates in the South Bay Interleague group, which includes travel to cities in the South Bay and Peninsula area along with games on home fields. For Summer League questions, the listed contact is Breaenne Martinez, and for registration difficulties, the listed contact is Micki. The website is powered by SportsEngine's Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software and is owned by and subject to the Spirit of Morgan Hill privacy policy.
