East Bay Lights Education Center Youth & Family Programs

East Bay Lights Education Center Youth & Family Programs offers math tutoring, literacy tutoring, and math and language tutoring, along with children's classes, a youth program, a junior youth program, and a parent program. The programs are inspired and moved by the teachings of Baha'u'llah, with principles that center around unity in diversity, equality of men and women, and the moral and material education of children.

East Bay Lights Education Center Youth & Family Programs started in 2014 as a grassroots initiative. The mission states that it is a group of youth, parents, friends, and neighbors in San Pablo and Richmond who are interested in the material and spiritual advancement of their community, and that it offers empowerment programs for youth, children, junior youth, and families who are interested in their own development and the betterment of their communities. The mission also states that these programs are part of a global training program and movement of communities who take ownership of their own development, with the stated goal to build a more unified world. Since 2021, the program has partnered with Coherent Development Research Institute to offer math and literacy tutoring to elementary and middle schoolers, with a tutoring program focused on closing knowledge gaps rather than just homework completion and providing one-on-one support for students to advance intellectually. The program description states that there are community-building programs for youth, children, families, and more, and that there are programs in schools, homes, and community centers organized by the community for the community.
