In 1999, the San Rafael Police Department created Camp Chance as a one-week summer camp. The program is a collaboration between the SRPD, MCSO, and the Marin County Office of Education (MCOE). It also features a unique opportunity for participants to build rapport with peace officers and includes a Counselors-In-Training (CIT’s) program for alumni.
