Snails & Turkey Tails offers immersive summer nature camps in Marin County for children ages 3–6. Our play-based program combines outdoor exploration, forest and beach adventures, and hands-on learning to foster curiosity and confidence.

Join us this summer at China Camp State Park! Camps run Monday through Friday for one-week sessions, from June through August. No two weeks are ever the same, so sign up for two, four or more weeks. We can accommodate around 8 campers weekly, and up to 4 campers daily for our extended day.
While at China Camp, we meet at various locations within the park, including China Camp Beach, Miwok Meadows, and the Back Ranch Meadows Campground. We learn about local nature and wildlife, create art and build structures, move our bodies, and discover more about ourselves and our greater community. 100% of our days are spent outdoors! Reserve your child’s spot in our summer nature camps today! All children should be fully potty trained.
Campers engage in fun activities like balancing on the slack line, relaxing in the hammock, learning how to use tools like a hammer and nails and a handsaw, playing parachute games, going on trail rides, making recycled art, baking in the mud kitchen, climbing trees and logs and so much more!

Policies
As a small, nature-based program, we plan staffing, materials, permits, and site logistics well in advance based on enrollment. For this reason we do not offer refunds but you will receive a credit that can be used for another week of camp. All credits must be redeemed within the year purchased.
