Summer Enrichment Workshops & Adventure Day Camp

Summer Enrichment Workshops & Adventure Day Camp includes K–8 Enrichment Workshops, Preschool Enrichment Workshops, and an Adventure Day Camp with Extended Care. Children take part in activities such as creating masterpieces, enjoying games and puzzles, reviewing phonics and numbers, digging and building, socializing with friends, and activities that enhance small and gross motor development. Workshop options include 4–6 Math with exploration of three-dimensional forms and logic problems using diagrams and architectural tools, K–3 Language Arts, a Young Scholars Workshop, a Writing and Illustration Workshop, a Beyond the Basics Workshop with study of short stories, a 5–8 Engineering & Robotics Workshop where students design, build, and program robots to navigate various challenges, and a 6–8 Language Arts Workshop that explores short stories and fairy tales along with stagecraft activities, character monologues, short plays, and improvisational scenes. Extra-curricular options include Chess, Piano lessons, STEM/Science, Soccer, Debate, MATHCOUNTS, Math Olympiad, and Science Bowl, and preschoolers romp around a park-like playground.

The Summer Enrichment Workshops & Adventure Day Camp is open to all summer programs and offers Summer Enrichment Workshops for preschool through eighth grade students, with extended hours from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Students are taught by highly-skilled teachers in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, and the program provides a bridge to the upcoming school year. The program is part of a private preschool through eighth grade day school in the San Francisco East Bay that offers award-winning K–8 education at the San Ramon campus.

The Dorris-Eaton School was founded in 1954 and has provided students the best that education has to offer for over seventy years, serving students of Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Mrs. Dorris' and Mrs. Eaton's founding tenet, excellence in education, remains the guiding principle of The Dorris-Eaton School. The Summer Enrichment Workshops & Adventure Day Camp is led by Director Jerry Ludden.
