About
Youth Leadership Conference is a 6-day leadership conference that focuses on transforming youth into advocacy leaders. During the conference, students are introduced to the building blocks of leadership through the Youth Leadership Conference program.

Future Leaders of America (FLA), which runs the Youth Leadership Conference, states that its mission is to develop youth resiliency and leadership to create long-lasting systemic change by empowering and mobilizing youth leaders to advocate for policies that improve their lives and the lives of their peers and their communities. FLA’s community involvement includes youth-led policy initiatives in areas such as Housing Security, Youth Wellness Coalition, A-G For All, Tobacco Prevention, Safe Zones, and Mental Health.

One participant, Julianna Ornelas from the Carpinteria Chapter, says that after attending the Youth Leadership Conference, she wanted to be on the council and be part of creating change in her community.
