The Education Outreach Program offers classroom visits, assemblies, in-person and virtual lessons, and field trips. The program also takes part in community events that focus on water conservation, flood preparedness, and environmental stewardship.
The program is associated with the Santa Clara Valley Water District, also known as Valley Water. Its mission statement is: “We plan, protect and invest in water systems that support people, nature and the future of our region.” The WateReuse Association recognized Valley Water with a national award for Excellence in the Outreach and Education category for its efforts supporting purified water awareness in Santa Clara County.
