San Jose Youth Symphony Summer Camps

San Jose Youth Symphony Summer Camps include rehearsals, sectionals, sectional coaching, masterclass performance opportunities, masterclasses in winds and strings, fun activities, and an end-of-week concert performance. Members of the San Jose Youth Symphony orchestras and ensembles attend different weeklong summer camps prior to the start of the season, and campers work in-depth with the music they will be rehearsing and performing in concerts throughout the season. All campers attend the masterclasses offered in winds and strings, and all of the camps end the week with a concert where the campers perform the music they worked on during the week.

• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Weeklong summer camps with overnight sessions in late July 2026 and a day camp session in early July 2026

The San Jose Youth Symphony comprises over five hundred student musicians, from third grade through college, and has twelve ensembles, including Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Orchestra, Avant & Avancé Flute Choirs, Jazz Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Concert Winds & Saxophone Ensembles, Percussion Ensemble, and Prelude and Intermezzo String Ensembles.
