Gilchrist Farm Camps and Classes

Gilchrist Farm Camps and Classes offers Mini Farm Camp, Summer Farm Camp, Counselor in Training, archery, Animal Care and Horsemanship Combo, horseback riding lessons, and pony rides. The program also includes an Extended Day Program with board games, art projects, crafts, and extra time to play with the animals. Archery class equipment is provided by Gilchrist Farm.

Programs

• Mini Farm Camp — 2-5 · May 26-29 and June 1-5 · $425 per week · Special “Mini” experience for youngest campers.
• Summer Farm Camp — 5-16 · Early Bird Camp May 26-29; weekly June 8-August 7 · $425 per week · Camp hours are 8AM-2PM. Extended Day Program runs 2PM-6PM daily.
• Counselor in Training — 12-16 · $325 per week · Leadership component, more advanced riding program, and activities geared for older kids.
• Archery — 7-18 · Monday, Wednesday, or Friday at 4pm; Saturday at 9am · $180 per week · Six-class series; single or drop-in classes are $35 per shooter.
• Animal Care and Horsemanship Combo — 5+ · Mon 10:00AM, Tues 11:30am, Wed 4:00PM, SAT 10:00AM · $350 per week · Six-week series combining a one-hour Animal Care class and introductory Horsemanship.
• Horseback Riding Lessons — 3-6 for junior lessons; school age children through adults for full hour lessons · Available daily · $45–$60 per session · Junior lessons are $45; full hour lessons are $60; private lesson packages also offered.

Camp is suitable for children age 5 and older. Mini Farm Camp is for ages 2-4/2-5 as stated on the page. Campers are grouped by age in smaller groups/cohorts with individual counselors. Summer camp uses closed-toe shoes and sun protection. No pets allowed at the farm except ADA approved service animals. Dogs/pets are not allowed at the farm except ADA approved service dogs or for special pre-arranged events.
