The program was founded by beach volleyball legend Sinjin Smith, who is a World Champion many times over, an Olympian, and Hall of Famer, and who coaches at various camps and clinics throughout the year and makes guest appearances throughout the summer. The coaching staff includes Bella Avelar (Pepperdine Beach VB current collegiate athlete), Emmett Whitaker (Boston University student), Gray Larson (SBCC student), Delaney Nicholls (Saint Mary's Beach VB current collegiate athlete), Bibi Peterson (UCLA student), Gunner Welch (Sinjin Beach Club coach), and Trishia Fields (UCSB student). Sessions are open to boys and girls ages 7–18, welcome athletes of all skill levels with players grouped by age and experience, and are described by the program as offering a supportive, confidence-building environment where athletes build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong memories in a safe, fun environment led by an incredible team of coaches. The program runs year-round, and Sinjin Beach Club trains at this location as a competitive pathway for motivated players, with some camps offering afternoon extensions such as beach games, boogie boarding, or surf lessons. Families are advised to send participants with water, sunscreen, a hat or visor, sunglasses, a towel, athletic wear, and snacks and/or lunch.
