Kids On Stage, Inc. has been offering high-quality in-class and virtual programs for youth and teens since 1987. Kids On Stage, Inc. is an award-winning performing arts company and a community of performing arts educators in Los Angeles, California, dedicated to inspiring kids and teens all over the world. Each program is carefully crafted, age-appropriate, and built for each group dynamic, and each actor has the chance to shine. Theater in this program is described as a way for actors to reclaim imagination, build confidence, and find their own voice away from screens, while collaborating in a safe, non-competitive space and building confidence, creativity, teamwork, communication skills, and lasting friendships. Programs are described as being designed to develop emotional intelligence, teamwork, and strong communication skills that reach far beyond the theater.

Kids On Stage has been voted L.A. Parent’s Best Children’s Theater and Performing Arts Programs and Mommy Poppins’ Best Theater Class for Aspiring Actors, and has been seen on CNN, HBO, Showtime, the British documentary Hollywood Kids, Backstage West, L.A. Parent, and more.

Parents describe their experiences with Kids On Stage by noting that their children sang, danced, learned how to express themselves, and had “the best time” in backyard camps with neighborhood kindergartners. One parent reports being impressed by the preparation for virtual meetings, the resource links for practicing, and how kids stayed engaged during a 2-hour Saturday zoom meeting in the Musical Theater Virtual Class. Another parent shares that their daughter gained a sense of confidence in herself on stage that she carries beyond Kids On Stage classes and performances, and that their child wants to continue participating “until I’m 20,” with the family planning to return for future sessions.
