About
PHAS3 Kids Martial Arts/Muay Thai – Future Champions includes Muay Thai kids classes and kickboxing. Classes use boxing gloves for punching and kicking drills on punching bags, shadow boxing, partner work, and a Laser Rope game.
• Ages: 4–12 years old
• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday in the late afternoon and early evening, and Saturday mornings
At the PHAS3 Training Center, the PHAS3 Future Champion program focuses on development in kickboxing skills along with attitude and character. Every class begins with reciting “mantras” of personal excellence, responsibility, and honor. The program is described as providing social, physical, emotional, and attitudinal growth, and teaches that through dedicated, intense work, worthwhile goals in life are possible, with the stated goal of training each child to become a “Champion of Life.” The Laser Rope game is described as being designed to develop a child’s timing, spatial awareness, and desire to achieve.
PHAS3 Martial Arts is certified by legendary Muay Thai champion and UFC coach Jongsanan Woodenman. World-class Muay Thai coaches Jongsanan “Woodenman” and Monlit Sitpohdaeng recognized PHAS3 as the first “Woodenman Muay Thai Certified” kickboxing school in North America. Santa Rosa martial arts school PHAS3 Muay Thai has been helping students of all skill levels since 2004. PHAS3 Muay Thai is described as the leading Muay Thai training center in the North Bay Area and welcomes students of all skill levels, from competitive fighters to day 1 beginners, with a policy of offering training to everyone from Elite Fighters to Everyday Warriors and Future Champions. The program notes that kids will get fit, gain confidence, and learn respect, and that PHAS3 prides itself on a family atmosphere that welcomes students of all skill levels.
The program offers two free introductory lessons, and the first class is free. Equipment use includes wearing boxing gloves for punching and kicking drills using punching bags, shadow boxing, and partner work. The program invites families to “Join us for Bay Area Muay Thai & Martial Arts Training!”
Parent testimonials describe PHAS3 as having great training programs with something for everyone and note that children with different needs and personalities both get a lot out of it, strengthening their minds and bodies and becoming stronger versions of themselves with each class. One parent shares that their child learned how to win, lose, and forgive herself starting from the first game of Laser Rope, and describes PHAS3 as “awesome.” Another parent reports attending for seven years and states that PHAS3 has contributed to their children’s confidence, with lessons in respect, discipline, and character, and describes the coaches as tough, funny, and motivating. A further testimonial states that PHAS3 has helped a child develop greater respect and self-control, and that members have been helpful, respectful, and kind, calling it a great place to develop physically and mentally.
