About
The Zones Summer Programs offer activities such as 3D printing, filmmaking, robotics, coding, cooking, baking, climbing on a climbing wall, arts and crafts, and sports. Campers can also join Gardening Club, Book Club, Youth Leadership, Baking Class, Hip Hop Dance Class, Minecraft Coding, Volleyball Camp, All Sports Camp, 3D Printing & Design Lab, pickleball, indoor hockey, and rock climbing. Everyday Summer Camp and Summer Mini-camps take place in a facility that includes a full-size gym, tech lounge, STEM room, art studio, kitchen, and recording studio.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Everyday Summer Camp runs June 8 to August 7, 2026, with camp open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm; Summer Mini-camps run daily from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm as one-week experiences
• Price: Everyday Summer Camp costs $55 per day for attendance anytime between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm; extended care for Mini-camps beyond 2:00 pm is $10 per hour
Everyday Summer Camp includes breakfast and lunch, and families may also pack their own meals. Before and after Mini-camp instruction, campers are provided breakfast and lunch. The Zones Summer Programs include five zones of enrichment: academics, athletics, creative arts, health and wellness, and life skills and workforce readiness, and are part of an after-school and summer camp enrichment organization for students in grades K through 12. The organization offers homework help and one-on-one tutoring with accredited volunteers through the ZIP (Zone In Program), and offers several subsidies such as ELO-P, Sonoma Works and 4Cs, and scholarships based on fundraising events. Staff are trained to supervise youth and maintain a structured environment within a 1 to 20 staff-to-youth ratio, and staff are CPR certified and trained in first aid.
The organization was founded in 1949 as The Santa Rosa Boys Club, and after 74 years, in 2023, it adopted a new look and name to express an updated, inclusive mission and an emphasis on high-engagement after-school and summer programming. Its mission is to inspire and engage youth through community-based educational and social enrichment programs in a purpose-driven, positive environment. It is a 100% community funded non-profit at its founding and has led local efforts to support families in need during the Tubbs Fire and COVID-19 pandemic. A camper described the coding program by saying, “The coding program is really cool. I thought it would be hard to make my own game, but I've learned how.” The gym and facility are available for rent or private use, and prospective members and families are encouraged to tour the facility.
