Santee AYSO Region 341 Youth Soccer Programs offers youth soccer programs that include a FALL/CORE soccer program, AYSO Play Day - Free, AYSO Summer Camp, the EPIC Program, and a Regional Referee Course. The programs are part of AYSO, which is a non-profit organization that provides youth soccer programs in the United States and internationally in the Virgin Islands and Trinidad and Tobago.

• Schedule: Fall registration begins online April 1, with practices starting in mid to late August and games running from September through November.
AYSO was established in 1964 out of a garage in Torrance, California, and its National Office is located in Torrance, California. AYSO’s vision is to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives, and its mission is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment based on its Six Philosophies. These Six Philosophies are Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development, and every player on every team must play at least 50% of every game. Each year new teams are formed to be as evenly balanced as possible, and the program is open to all children between 4 and 19 years of age who want to register and play soccer.
AYSO is often called “the biggest soccer club in the world.” AYSO runs on volunteer power with nearly 150,000 registered volunteers, and every coach, referee, Regional Commissioner, National Board of Directors member, and the National President are volunteers. A Region is a community-based league run by a volunteer Regional Commissioner and a volunteer Regional Board, and AYSO is described as a soccer program for the entire family where parents can be involved with their child as a coach or referee. Training for volunteers is easy and usually free.
SANTEE is part of Section 11 and is in Area 11-V, one of the largest Areas within AYSO with almost 6,600 players ranging in age from 4 to 19 years old. Area 11-V consists of 8 regions, each with its own board, and is one of three AYSO Areas in San Diego County. The Area 11-V operating revenue is generated by contributions from its regions and directly from AYSO. SANTEE is in a region that includes La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside, Alpine, Jamul, Julian, Borrego Springs, Mountain Empire and surrounding communities. Michael Karon is listed as President of AYSO.
