For ages 8-15. Youth must be accompanied by a chaperone in a ration of no more than 8 youth to 1 adult (troop leader or parent/guardian).
Itinerary:
- 9:30-11:30 Dockside Programming
- 11:30-12:00 Lunch at the Bay Model (Bring a bag lunch!)
- 12:00-2:00 Sailing on San Francisco Bay
Learn about:
- Knots and rope art
- Navigation
- Simple machines
- Ocean observations
- Seamanship: steering the ship, learning to coil lines and explore traditional sailing techniques.
What to bring: Please send your child with the following items.
- Warm layers: Jacket, Sweaters, Long pants
- Closed toe shoes
- Sunscreen, Sunglasses and Hat
- Refillable Water bottle
- Bag lunch

Call of the Sea is an educational non-profit that connects youth to the sea, marine science and maritime traditions. We provide on-the-water field trips, sailing summer camps, sailing skills workshops and sailing experiences on traditional sailing ships for youth, families, and individuals of all ages.
