Blue Starz Dance & Theatre School Camps

Blue Starz Dance & Theatre School Camps include dance and drama games, regular games, arts and crafts, script-work, and learning song and dance numbers to perform based on the camp’s theme. A typical camp day features a Welcome & Warm-Up Activity, a mix of dance and drama based exercises and regular games, snack time, work on themed scripts, songs, and dances, arts and crafts, lunch time, a 20–30 minute movie time, review of the themed material, meditation or calming exercises, and pack up and dismissal. Camps host three age groups: 3–5s with half day and full day options, 4–8s with full day options, and 7–12s for fun day camps.

• Schedule: Camps are offered as 1-day, 2-day, 4-day, and 5-day sessions, with half day options from 9AM–1PM and full day options from 9AM–3PM, including various Spring Break and Summer camp weeks.
• Price: Prices range from $120 for a 1-day full day camp to $400–$540 for most multi-day camps, with specific rates such as $160–$216 for 2-day camps and $320–$432 for 4-day camps, depending on age group, theme, and half or full day enrollment; Spring Recital tickets are $17 each.

Blue Starz Dance & Theatre School started in 2011 with one student in a small studio in Sherman Oaks. Its mission is to provide the foundations of a performing arts education for children as young as 6 months up to 12 years old. Blue Starz Dance & Theatre School offers dance and musical theatre classes, camps, drop-off parties, and yearly recitals, with classes described as recreational in a non-competitive environment, and performance opportunities that include a Winter Recital called “The Mini Nutcracker,” a Spring Recital, and Fall and Spring Reviews for drama and musical theatre classes held in a blackbox setting with song and dance numbers, costumes, and a set. Blue Starz Dance & Theatre School offers free trials to new families at any time and works closely with nearby studios to help families find the best fit if students wish to train and compete on a more full-time basis.

Blue Starz Dance & Theatre School is described as being proud to serve families in Atwater Village, Burbank, Beverly Hills, Encino, Eagle Rock, Echo Park, Glassell Park, Highland Park, North Hollywood, Los Feliz, Sherman Oaks, Silverlake, Studio City, Toluca Lake, Valley Village, Valley Glen, Van Nuys, and the greater Los Angeles area in California. One parent shared that from day one her daughter loved her ballet classes, asked throughout the week if it was time to go to ballet, and described the feel of the studio as a blend of warm community and strong knowledge of ballet and performance principles.
