About
LRJ Dance Studio offers dance classes for kids that include structured hip-hop. The studio also hosts wellness activities such as sound baths, yoga flows, mat Pilates, and Neon Yoga for adults and older participants.
• Ages: 3–12 years old
• Schedule: Weekly classes with month-to-month options for Mini Movers and Drop-In, plus 6-month commitments for Next Gen and The Lab
• Price: Mini Movers and Drop-In: $85/month; Next Gen and The Lab: $125/month; no contracts, month-to-month enrollment, secure checkout via Square
Mini Movers is a beginner-friendly class for ages 3–5 that meets once a week and follows a monthly enrollment model. The Drop-In class for ages 6–11 also meets weekly, uses a monthly enrollment model, and teaches one new routine each week with no recital pressure. Placement-based advanced programs include Next Gen for intermediate dancers ages 6–8 and The Lab for advanced dancers ages 9–12, both with 6-month commitments and, in the case of The Lab, advanced choreography and performance-grade execution. Kids attend the same class at the same time each week for consistency, and the studio uses the BAND app for announcements, schedule reminders, and group messages.
Adult wellness and pop-up events feature local instructors and include activities such as sound baths, yoga flows, mat Pilates, and Neon Yoga. Adult events have no membership, no recurring charge, no long-term commitment, and workshop spots are capped, with a completed waiver required before booking adult workshops.
LRJ Dance Studio states the mission: “A small town. A real studio. Doors open. Dance classes for kids. Wellness events for adults. One studio, one community, right here in Soledad.” The studio describes itself as “Built in Soledad. For Soledad. By Erica and Fiidle.” LRJ Dance honors the legacy of Linda Randle Johnson, a U.S. Navy Veteran who spent 38 years teaching, including 10 years at Soledad High School, and who impacted the lives of many in the Soledad community. The studio notes a fast response time to inquiries within 1–2 business days.
