Creative Movement & Dance: Ages 3 - 5

The class is designed as a young child’s first independent movement class. Instruction will include warm-ups exercises, basic elements of dance and ballet positions, across the floor movement, and a creative dance through the use of stories, props and games. Age appropriate songs and dance forms from around the world are also incorporated into this class. Benefits include listening skills and concentration, increased coordination, and an understanding of movement, i.e. time, space, directions and balance, social skills and development of creativity.
This session is designed not only for instruction but with a sweet and free recital at the end of the session. All dances and practices will be in class. All teachers and community Center staff will be helping to curate a wonderful performing experience for our dancers of all ages. The recital will be on Saturday, March 21st. More info to come later.

Policies
We ask that you notify us at least 10 days in advance of a class if you need to cancel your registration. You may cancel by phone or email and we will gladly offer you a refund or credit toward a future class. If you cancel with less than 10 business days notice, we will not be able to provide a full refund. A flat cancellation fee of $15 will be charged to cover the transaction fee.
Sometimes, the Sonoma Community Center has to cancel a class due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, such as a natural disaster or health emergency. If this happens and we do not offer a reschedule date, you will be refunded 100% of your registration fee (minus the payment processing and services fee), or credit towards a future class. Enrichment.kids platform and credit card payment processing fees are non-refundable, the Sonoma Community Center does not hold these funds. If we are able to offer a reschedule date but you are unable to make the new date, we will gladly offer credit towards a future class.
