Collegiate Exposure Camps Tennis Camps includes singles and doubles “college style drills,” “college style/match play drills,” and “college style” team matches, all with on-court coaching from college coaches. Camp days also include warm-up and stretching, singles and doubles matches, in-class seminars to motivate and educate players on how to prepare for college tennis, off-court presentations about college tennis, and a Parents College Tennis Seminar.

• Ages: 13–18 years old
• Schedule: Two-day camp; players check in on January 3 between 7:30–8:00 AM and the camp concludes January 4 at 4:30 PM
• Price: tuition:$999

On the first day, the schedule includes player check-in from 7:30–8:00 AM, a welcome seminar and introduction of college coaches from 8:10–8:30 AM, warm-up and stretching from 8:35–8:50 AM, singles and doubles “college style drills” with on-court coaching from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM, lunch and rest from 12:00–1:15 PM, seminars by college coaches from 1:15–2:15 PM, singles and doubles “college style/match play drills” with on-court coaching from 2:15–4:30 PM, and a Parents College Tennis Seminar from 3:00–4:00 PM. On the second day, the schedule includes player check-in from 7:45–8:00 AM, a morning seminar and introduction of college coaches from 8:10–8:30 AM, warm-up and stretching from 8:35–8:50 AM, “College Style” team matches with on-court coaching from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and again from 2:15–4:15 PM, lunch and rest from 12:00–1:15 PM, seminars by college coaches from 1:15–2:15 PM, and a closing ceremony from 4:15–4:30 PM.

The camp is designed for players in grades 8–12 and includes daily lunch for all campers, while participants and families provide their own hotel accommodations. Instructional drills, practices, and match play are conducted with the same intensity and style as a collegiate practice session, and coaches run real college style practices and match play. Players receive instruction and training from college coaches representing NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, and every camp is staffed entirely by current college coaches from all NCAA and NAIA divisions and levels of the game, with on-court instruction and interaction exclusively with college coaches. The stated goal of the camp is to continue a player’s development while immersing them in and exposing them to a competitive college tennis environment, and in-class educational and motivational seminars address life as a student-athlete and the responsibilities that come with it.

The leadership team for this camp includes coaches from several colleges and universities: University of Redlands (Mike Longanecker), Johns Hopkins University (Michael Herman), Villanova University (John Jayakumar), Oberlin College (Eric Ishida), Ithaca College (Tom Rishcoff), Washington College (Constantine Ananiadis), and Emerson College (Burke Paxton). Program materials state that, unlike a showcase, these camps allow coaches and players to interact and train together and that campers can get exposure and network with college coaches. Testimonials from past campers and parents describe experiences such as meeting coaches from many schools, learning more about college tennis, having rigorous days of training, and feeling motivated to continue with tennis and return to future Collegiate Exposure Camps events.
