The interior of the theatre includes exposed beams from the original boathouse, and the Valhalla Grand Hall and Boathouse Theatre are described as unique cultural resources in the Tahoe basin. The organization states a mission of preserving Tahoe heritage through art, music and theatre, and bringing the Lake Tahoe community together to enjoy history, art, music, theatre, cultural events and celebrations at one of Lake Tahoe’s properties. In partnership with the United States Forest Service, Valhalla Tahoe hosts tours, cultural events and private events to raise funds to complete large restoration projects at the Heller Estate, and it is operated under a special use permit with the U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. This year’s production is produced and directed by Taylor Bartolucci, founder of Lucky Penny Productions in Napa, CA. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime, and USDA is listed as an equal opportunity provider and employer.
