Cal Sparks South is a girls' elite youth basketball program. The program focuses on providing a platform for aspiring basketball players to showcase their talents within the Cal Sparks program and to compete with Cal Sparks Gold or National teams in Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL). Coach Mary, who leads the program, has written books for teens about seeing their own worth, discovering their purpose, and building confidence.

The charter of Cal Sparks South is to provide a platform for aspiring basketball players to compete in an environment within the Cal Sparks program in hopes of competing in Nike's EYBL with Cal Sparks Gold or National teams, which compete each year at the nation’s highest level. The leadership team includes Director and Coach Mary Rossignol, who is also listed as Director, Author and Head Coach, and Director of Basketball Operations and Coach Caitlin Bunting. Additional staff include skills and development trainer “ej,” Assistant Coaches Maria Serrano, Hosanna Walker, Stasia Duque, and Chloe Wright, and Head Basketball Coach Cali Cubel. Coaches emeritus are listed as Kerri Husbands, Coco Miller, and Megan House. Staff credentials noted for the program include experience in the USMC serving the country, the NBA Golden State Warriors, and work as a mom and campaign manager for the U.S. Congress.
