Gymtowne Gymnastics South San Francisco Programs include Gym Mini (Preschool-Aged) Programs, School-Aged Gymnastics classes, NinjaTowne classes, and competitive gymnastics teams. Younger children can take part in Rug Bugs (“Parent and Me”) classes, Mini Gym Bugs, Mini Gym Minis, and Jumpin' Gym Minis, while older kids can join instructional gymnastics classes for girls and boys in four levels (Levels 1–4), each with three color sub-levels that prepare students for the Xcel program and the USA Gymnastics Level 3–10 Developmental Program. The Gym Mini Program is for preschoolers aged 1–5 and uses specialized motor development equipment and adapted gymnastics equipment, with a low student/instructor ratio and a positive, fun, and supportive environment. According to the program’s mission statement, the Gym Mini Program is described as a wonderful educational experience for children ages 1 to 5, develops skills in movement and the ability to learn, promotes basic motor skills as they apply to all physical activity, and emphasizes physical and social development rather than training for the Olympics. Gym Mini Open Gym is held every Thursday at 12:30 PM.
