The organization states that it strives to make soccer fun, affordable, and accessible to all children in South San Francisco and surrounding communities, and that it believes every child should have the opportunity to participate in recreational and competitive soccer in a safe, fun, and rewarding environment, no matter their socio-economic background. It also states that it believes soccer can help youth develop life-long skills both on and off the field by keeping them active, building their self-esteem, teaching them responsibility, and developing a sense of team and community, and that the game is for the kids.
According to the league, coaches are highly experienced and passionate about soccer, have a deep understanding of the game, and are dedicated to developing each player’s skills and abilities. The league states that coaches are well trained, promote the love of the game and skill over winning, build life skills in players through soccer, serve as good role models, and value both the sport and the community. The league notes that it depends on help from volunteers to keep the program affordable for all and that it provides a full range of soccer services to the youth of South San Francisco and surrounding areas.
