• Ages: 7–14 years old
• Schedule: Four-day sessions with morning instruction in hitting and defense and afternoon sessions featuring situational games, competition drills, and a Wiffle Ball World Series
U.S. Baseball Academy Summer Baseball Camp is directed by Stewart Peterson, head coach at Sutter Union High School, in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy. U.S. Baseball Academy is described as the nation’s largest baseball camp company, with operations in 45 states and more than 225 camps nationwide, and has served more than a quarter million players over the last 10 years. The program’s stated mission is to help young players develop solid fundamentals and learn proper techniques at a young age. Leadership for U.S. Baseball Academy includes Senior Vice President Joe Marker, Director of Marketing & Operations Jeffery Lee, Camp Success Team Manager Cody Nelson, and Assistant Camp Success Team Manager Andrea Jolly. The program notes that its summer camps feature a low player-to-coach ratio, that space is limited by this ratio, and that all participants receive a t-shirt and camp certificate. It also states that players of all ability levels are challenged with specific skill instruction and drill work, with drill progressions focused on developing good habits while improving overall baseball skills. U.S. Baseball Academy describes itself as a national program with a local touch, using a consistent itinerary of drills and a teaching staff of coaches from the local area, and notes that its national coaching and advisory staff includes Major League players Adam Eaton, Travis Shaw, and Craig Stammen.
