About
Summer Adventure Camp includes time to create fantastic works of art, participate in fun and engaging games, and learn new sports skills. Campers take part in STEM experiments, enjoy pool days, and go to the Skate Park on Wednesdays. The program also includes a color run, a summer festival, and several field trips, such as trips to explore tide pools, a field trip to a water park, and movie field trips to see Toy Story 5, Minions 3, and the live-action Moana, along with opportunities to explore action sports with live action demonstrations.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday organized play and activities; offered in eight one-week sessions (Week 1 through Week 8)
Since 1958, the Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District has provided recreation programs and parks facilities to the Greater Tehachapi Area. Summer Adventure Camp uses the Park District’s fields and facilities for indoor and outdoor activities. The District’s leadership team includes District Staff members Corey Torres, MPA; Taylor Davis; Kent Beal; Emily Williams; Vacant; Donna Clark; Kelsey Ketcheside; and Sierra Torres. The Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District states that it enriches lives and fosters harmony within the community through area-wide leisure services focused on healthy lifestyles, educational and recreational opportunities, public participation, and environmental and economical stewardship, carried out through community outreach, programming, activities and events, and maintained parks and facilities. The District notes that it maintains 116 acres of parks and five facilities throughout the Tehachapi Valley, and that its website offers 24/7 remote registration, secure online payments, and online tools for patrons to change or drop classes, request refunds, and manage their accounts. Community sponsors listed for the program are McDonald’s – Tehachapi, Cerro Coso – Tehachapi Campus, and Terra Gen.
