Sain Baseball Camp states that it will provide quality instruction of baseball fundamentals while fostering a positive attitude and appreciation for the game of baseball, with a focus on keeping children healthy, avoiding injury, and allowing each player to reach their full potential. The mission also states that the camp is dedicated to instilling values that will contribute to a child’s success in whatever they choose to do, and that it wants every child to leave camp with stronger skills, new friends, and positive memories, with an emphasis on teamwork and respect for others, safety on and off the field, building confidence through practice and play, and encouraging kids to stay active and healthy.

The camp is led by Camp Director Grady Sain and Coach Zak Krislock. The coaching staff has years of experience working with young players in Torrance and the South Bay. Grady Sain was a three-year varsity letterman and earned all-league honors while playing shortstop for West Torrance High, and his baseball career continued at El Camino JC, Chico State, and Azusa Pacific University. Coach Sain holds a BA in Physical Education and an MA in Physical Education/Administration from CSU Dominguez Hills, teaches Health Education when not on the field, and is the PE/Health Department Chairman at South High School. Coach Zak Krislock is the Head Coach at Chadwick School in Palos Verdes Peninsula, previously served as the pitching coach at South High under Grady Sain, graduated from South High, and went on to The University of Oklahoma where he was named 1st-team all-Big 8 and participated in the College World Series. Zak Krislock was drafted by the Houston Astros, played four years of Minor League baseball, and is also a varsity assistant at Mira Costa High School during the football season.

The camp notes that it is powered by Junior Spartans Academy, and that Riviera Little League, TABB, and the City of Torrance are mentioned in the camp disclaimer. Stated unique features include that baseball is made fun for kids ages 6–12, the camp is focused on skills, teamwork, and confidence, and it provides a balance of learning and play. Players receive a T-shirt, certificate, and individual player evaluation, registrations are accepted first come, first served until a session is full, and Sain Baseball Camp sessions will follow the LA County Department of Public Health guidelines pertaining to youth sports at the time of camp. Families are told to send players with a glove, shirt, hat, bat, cleats, baseball pants, sweats, and a sack lunch, and a possible lunch option is listed as TBD.
