About

SoCa Arts offers Parent & Me, Tot Dance, and Youth Dance classes, along with Musical Theater and Cheer & Pom classes. The program also runs summer camps in dance, cheerleading, musical theater, and “princess training,” and includes options like dance recitals, dance parties, private and small-group lessons, and the Starlettes performance group. Through its sister company Ever After Princess, families can add characters, swimming mermaids, and other themed activities.

• Ages: 1–18 years old

For six years, SoCa Arts has been voted “Best Dance Studio in Orange County” in the OC Parenting annual Reader’s Choice edition and has been named one of the top 100 businesses supporting a world-class education. The program was previously known as OC Dance Productions and offers classes and camps in over 20 cities. SoCa Arts created a unique, copyrighted children’s dance progression program for all classes; at the start of each session, dancers are emailed a sheet with each objective that will be focused on in class, and at the end of each session, all dancers receive an “Awesome Dancer Award” to mark completion of these objectives. Starlettes is a performance group that performs several times a year and does not do competitions or travel out of state. SoCa Arts does not require a specific dress code for classes unless stated at the end of a class description, and recommended attire is listed on its Dress Code page.

Morgan serves as Programs & Operations Manager, and Nathaly is the Community Engagement & Training Specialist. SoCa Arts states that it aims to offer quality dance instruction and performance opportunities in a warm, nurturing environment to foster a love for the arts. It is described as a leading company for city and school district programming and is the only dance company in southern California partnered with a children’s non-profit to emphasize making a difference at any age. SoCa Arts provides resources and events that focus on kindness, compassion, and a philanthropic spirit, and its sister company Ever After Princess donates some proceeds to charity, with charity work being a big part of the character company. Ever After Princess offers characters, swimming mermaids, singers, face painters, crazy hair stylists, and other activities for families connected with SoCa Arts.
