• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Thursday 9:00am–5:00pm and every other Friday 9:00am–3:00pm
SoCa Arts was previously known as OC Dance Productions and offers classes and camps in over 20 cities, serving as a leading company for city and school district dance programming. It has a unique, copyrighted children’s dance progression program for all classes; at the start of each session, dancers are emailed a sheet with each objective that will be focused on in class, and at the end of each session, all dancers receive an “Awesome Dancer Award” to symbolize completion of these objectives. Parent & Me classes include developmental activities with props, Tot Dance classes build important skills for social and school settings, Musical Theater classes incorporate dancing, singing, acting, and theater games, and Cheer & Pom classes offer a way to explore cheerleading prior to a long-term team commitment. Summer camps include dance technique, choreography to perform on the last day of camp, kindness activities, themed games and crafts, and fun, and the dance recital includes dancers dressing in stage costumes and performing with their class.
The Starlettes performance group performs several times a year and does not do competitions or travel out of state. SoCa Arts does not require a specific dress code for classes unless stated at the end of a class description, and recommended attire is listed on the Dress Code page. The recital fee covers the dancer’s costume, shipping and handling, and a professional recording of the show for each family, and costumes are purchased from vendors commonly used by studios nationwide. Ever After Princess is a sister company that offers characters, swimming mermaids, singers, face painters, crazy hair stylists, and other activities, and some proceeds from this character company are donated to charity, with charity work described as a big part of the company.
SoCa Arts states that it aims to offer quality dance instruction and performance opportunities in a warm, nurturing environment to foster a love for the arts. For six years, it has been voted “Best Dance Studio in Orange County” in the OC Parenting annual Reader’s Choice edition and has been named one of the top 100 businesses supporting a world-class education. SoCa Arts is described as the only dance company in southern California partnered with a children’s non-profit to emphasize how to make a difference at any age, and it provides resources and events that focus on kindness, compassion, and a philanthropic spirit.
